Senior Alumna Advisor, Former Director
Ursula Hardianto had her first solo performance at Carnegie Hall at the age of nine. She has won numerous awards and scholarships, including that of H.B.Goodlin Competition, Los Angeles International Liszt Competition, California Association of Professional Music Teachers (CAPMT) Honors Competition, Grossmont Instrumental Scholarship Competition, and Sylvia M. Ghiglieri Piano Competition. She was awarded Music Teachers Association of California (MTAC) Certificate of Merit Panel Honors State Award. She has performed at TedX and and has been recognized by the U.S. Senator Dianne Feinstein and U.S. Congressman Scott Peters as well as the Global Leadership Connection Ambassador Scholarship for her music services. Ursula currently studies at Yale University.

XIE
Senior Alumna Advisor, Former Director
Shawn (Shuyang) Xie was awarded 4th prize at the 2018 Los Angeles International Liszt Competition and was invited as a guest artist for the 2019 National Association of Music Merchants Convention. He performed with his trio Opus WX at the Isaac Stern Auditorium at Carnegie Hall this summer. He was awarded the first place of Artiste Piano category at the SoCal Phil Young artists audition and will be performing with SoCal Philharmonic in 2020. Shawn attended Oberlin Conservatory of Music and has released more than 30 original songs.

Angela received the most promising Junior Award at the 2015 Virginia Waring International Piano Competition. Since then, she was named the Evgeny Kissin Grand Prize winner at the Fourth Rosalyn Tureck International Bach Competition. Angela made her radio debut on New York public radio WQXR. She is also the prize winner of numerous awards, including First Prize Winner at 2013 San Jose International Russian Music PianoCompetition, Gold medalist at the Seattle International Piano Competition. Angela currently attends Stanford University.
BETHANY
HUANG

Bethany Huang is an 18-year-old pianist from Southern California. Bethany first debuted at the Weill Recital Hall in Carnegie Hall in 2015. In 2018 she received Panel Honors and performed at the annual MTAC State Convention. She also received 3rd prize at the Los Angeles Liszt Piano Competition, and in 2019 was a Prize Winner at the Glendale Piano Competition.She has collaborated with the Slovak State Opera Chamber Orchestra and performed in the Bratislava Hall of Mirrors and Zichy Palace where the famed Franz Liszt has also debuted. In 2020, Bethany performed as an exhibitor guest at the National Association of Music Merchants Conventions and most recently performed on prime time national TV “Graduate Together” hosted by LeBron James and commencement speech by President Barack Obama!

Young Steinway Artist Anne Liu has stunned audiences with her sensitive tones, virtuosity, and coloristic ranges. Currently a student at The Juilliard School and an academic student at Columbia University, she was named a 2019 Presidential Scholar in the Arts, and has been honored by the United States Secretary of Education at the Andrew W. Mellon Auditorium & the President of the United States at the White House

Phoebe Pan is a National YoungArts winner and a Grand Prize winner of the Music Center Spotlight Awards in Los Angeles. She has been featured on NPR's From the Top program and in the Orange County Register. Phoebe has claimed prizes at various competitions, including 1st prize at the David D. Dubois International Piano Competition, 1st prize at the International Russian Music Piano Competition, 1st prize at the Mondavi National Young Artists Competition, and Silver Medal at the 5th Bösendorfer and Schimmel USASU International Piano Competition. Phoebe attended Columbia University and also studied with Van Cliburn Gold Medalist Stanislav Ioudenitch while attending dual major at Oberlin Conservatory and Oberlin College. Phoebe is currently working on her PHD at Northwestern University.
TARA
SHANKAR
Senior Alumna Advisor (Apple)
Tara made her solo debut at Carnegie Hall in 2013 and has won top prizes at several competitions including the American Fine Arts Festival and the AADGT's International Young Gifted Musician's Festival. Her honors include an invitation on a scholarship to the Vianden International Music Festival in Luxembourg, where she studied with Elena Rossman and performed at the historic Vianden Castle. Among her musical accomplishments are performing and CD recording J.S. Bach's complete Goldberg Variations.
Tara holds a B.S. in Computer Science from the California Institute of Technology and Masters from Princeton University. Tara has worked for Bloomberg, Tesla and is currently working for Apple.
